This recording brings together compositions by TRIBU that emerged from their active participation in various popular movements in Mexico. Its historical context is situated in a period when politically charged songs were achieving a leading role as a form of social and cultural expression.

This work is a testament to the group's process of searching, exploring and experimenting with sound, in which traditional instruments from different regions come together with modern elements and instruments, giving rise to a style deeply rooted in Mexican popular music.

The material corresponds to compositions created in the early seventies and was recorded in 1979 as a collector's album, with the purpose of preserving and recording the first creative and musical stage of TRIBU, as well as its commitment to the cultural and social memory of its time.
